Community Meeting with South Boston Residents
Recently, our office sat down with South Boston residents for a community meeting. It was a powerful, eye-opening discussion filled with deeply personal stories, shared frustrations, and a collective determination to make our neighborhood work for everyone—not just a select few.
The discussion also underscored systemic issues threatening the neighborhood's long-term stability: rising market rents are forcing out families and youth, street safety hazards and reduced parking are endangering elderly residents, and a lack of Spanish-language materials is shutting out the Latino community.
Thank you to everyone who spoke up, shared their struggles, and stood up for their neighbors.
